Our cultural wealth of Mayan spirituality is, since classical times to the present days, one of the pillars to understand the lifestyle and traditions of our people.

Each ethnic group shows characteristics of their own culture, but the harmony with the environment and the elements is the common fact of all of them.

We will begin the early days of the circuit by two conferences, one with an archaeologist and the other with a Mayan priest; both of them will open us the door to the Mayan cycles and Maya spirituality. Each of the sacred sites to visit has a meaning and a special place according to the Mayan World point of view.

You will know more about them by the hand of a local spiritual guide, who will take you on an imaginary journey through the time to our days.

Day 1 Guatemala Airport – Antigua
Airport reception, assistance and transportation to Antigua, a colonial city framed by volcanoes, and protected by UNESCO.  Lodging.

Day 2 La Antigua – Visit – Conference: Mayan Cycles – Antigua
Breakfast. We start the morning with a visit to Antigua, we will know the most charming corners of this wonderful city. La Merced, the Society of Jesus, the Cathedral, San Francisco and Central Park. At afternoon, in a room of the hotel we will have a conference with an archaeologist with the theme: Mayan Cycles.  Lodging.

Day 3 Antigua – Visit of villages – Conference: Maya Spirituality – Antigua
Breakfast.  Departure to visit the nearby towns of San Juan Obispo, Ciudad Vieja, San Antonio Aguas Calientes, and Santiago Zamora.  In this last one population we will share with the cooperative Ixoki ‘aj Quiema’, they will teach us their local tissues and manufacturing methods, we will use the loom and also share with them a traditional local lunch. At afternoon the second conference is given by a Mayan spiritual guide, about the subject: Maya spirituality. Lodging.

Day 4. La Antigua – San Andres Itzapa – Iximche / Spiritual Ceremony – Atitlán
Breakfast. Departure from Antigua to the highlands, arriving in the town of San Andres Itzapa to visit San Simon, divinity product of religious syncretism in Guatemala. Continue to visit and spiritual ceremony at the archaeological site of Iximche, ancient Maya capital of the Cakchiquel kingdom. Arrival in Atitlán and accommodation.

Day 5. Atitlán - San Juan la Laguna – Community Tour and Tree Planting – Atitlán
Breakfast. Transportation by boat to San Juan la Laguna, one of the most beautiful villages of Atitlan Lake, and cultural tour of the population, guide by the community association. Ceremonial act of planting the tree, the ceremony begins in the nursery of native species Rupalaj K’istalin, which initially is an explanation by the community guides of different native species and their uses, and each person chooses the tree you want to plant; then the group goes toward the Cerro de la Cruz and performs the ceremony of planting the tree. After the descent of the hill, we will be conducted to  a mural located in the village where participants leave their mark by painting their maya nahual. Afternoon off. Lodging.

Day 6. Atitlan – Ceremony Spiritual – Chichicastenango – Guatemala
Breakfast. At early morning we drive to a Mayan altar at Atitlan Lake for a spiritual ceremony. Later departure to Chichicastenango where we will visit its famous and colorful market held every Thursday and Sunday. Continue overland to Guatemala City. Lodging.

Day 7. Guatemala – Copan
Breakfast. Departure from Guatemala, crossing the Honduran border and visit to the archaeological site of Copan, which was one of the most important settlements in the classic Maya period. Copan keeps their trails, temples, ball courts and burials of a great archaeological value. Lodging.

Day 8. Copan – Quirigua – Peten Area
Breakfast. Morning departure from Copan to Peten. En route, visit to the archaeological site of Quirigua with some of the most impressive stelae of the Maya World, among which is the Stela C, which refers to the beginning of the 5th Maya age, August 13, 3114 BC. Continue to Peten. Arrive at late afternoon. Lodging.

Day 9. Petén Area – Yaxha / Spiritual Ceremony – Petén Area
Breakfast. Visit the spectacular archaeological site of Yaxhá, one of the most important Mayan cities of Petén. The site contains several acropolis sets connected by causeways, ball fields and 31 trails, but the most important are two sets that were used to mark solstices and equinoxes. Yaxhá is much more special for its beautiful sacred lake. Sacred ceremony with spiritual guidance. Lodging.

Day 10. Area Petén – Tikal – Guatemala
Breakfast. At morning we will visit the Mayan city of Tikal, undoubtedly the best example of classical Mayan culture. Its occupation lasted almost 1,500 years, and was one of the first cities to establish a dynastic Maya government, recording its rulers with hieroglyphic inscriptions on stelae, at Tikal is registered a dynastic sequence of 33 successive rulers. Lunch at a restaurant in the site. At afternoon transportation to Flores airport and flight to Guatemala City. Lodging.

Day 11. Guatemala – Guatemala Airport
Breakfast. Transportation to Guatemala City airport. End of our services.

This itinerary can be combined from Petén day 10 with some length to Palenque, Belize, Rivera Maya or Cancun.
