Day 1| SUN 10 APRIL – Guatemala Airport – Guatemala
Arrival at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Guatemala City. Lodging.
Day 2| MON 11 APRIL – Lake Atitlán – Iximché – Lago Atitlán
Breakfast. Departure to Guatemalan Highlands. On route, we will visit the archaeological site of Iximché, the ancient Mayan capital of the Cakchiquel kingdom. In the afternoon, we will continue to Lake Atitlán, as Aldous Huxley once said, “one of the most beautiful lakes in the world”. If time allows, we will take a short walk along the picturesque Calle Santander where we will find a variety of restaurants, art galleries and handicrafts for sale. At the end of the street, we will find a beautiful pier with privileged views of Lake Atitlán. Lodging.
Day 3| TUE 12 APRIL – Lake Atitlán – San Juan La Laguna – Santiago Atitlán – Lago Atitlán
Breakfast. Today we will take a boat to visit two of the twelve villages that surround this beautiful lake.We will visit the Tzutuhil town San Juan La Laguna characterized by the harmony in which its inhabitants coexist with nature and culture. We will continue to Santiago Atitlán, a town inhabited by indigenous Tzutuhiles who live from fishing and handcrafts, although they are better known as worshippers of a Mayan-Catholic deity they call Maximón.In the afternoon, return to hotel. Lodging.
Day 4| WED 13 APRIL – Lago Atiltán – Chichicastenango – La Antigua
Breakfast. Departure to the destination to the village of Chichicastenango, where we will visit one of the most famous indigenous markets in all Latin America. This day, we will enjoy a living experience, where will have a corn workshop with local women. Corn is the most important staple food in Guatemala. In the afternoon, we will continue to La Antigua colonial city declared a World Heritage. Lodging.
Day 5| THU 14 APRIL – La Antigua – Visita & Procesiones – La Antigua
Breakfast.We will take our walk through the cobbled streets that will take us back to the XVII century. We will pass by the Palace of the Captains General, La Merced Church, San Francisco and some other colonial corners. During the visit, you will appreciate one of the greatest expressions of faith and devotion displayed in the emblematic processions that commemorate such an important date for Christianity. Lodging.
Day 6| FRI 15 APRIL – La Antigua
Breakfast. We will have the day at leisure to enjoy the colonial city or take a walk through the city and opcional excursion to the Pacaya Volcano.
- OPTIONAL: VOLCAN PACAYA
Departure in the morning to Pacaya Volcano, the most interesting volcanic complex in Central America due to the amount of eruptive cones, craters and changes that can be observed there. We will arrive by car at the foot of Pacaya Volcano. Then, there we will begin our ascent. After an hour and a half walking the traveler will be in the central plateau, 350 meters from the crater of one of the four active volcanoes of Guatemala. Lodging.
Day 7| SAT 16 APRIL – La Antigua
Breakfast. We will have the day free to walk around this colonial city or take an optional excursion to Tikal, the jewel of the classic Mayan culture.

Breakfast. In the morning, transfer to the Guatemala City airport to take the local flight to Flores, Petén. Reception and transfer to the archaeological site. Today we will have our visit to Tikal, the largest of the known Mayan cities. Some archaeologists estimate that up to 100,000 people lived in Tikal. Today, after more than a thousand years since its abandonment, the buildings are still standing fighting against a vegetation that struggles to engulf them. We will visit the Central Plaza with the Temples of the Great Jaguar and the Great Pyramid, the Acropolis and Temple IV, from the top of which we can see more than 50 km of virgin forest. Lunch at the restaurant inside the archaeological site. In the afternoon, walk around Flores Island and transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Guatemala City. Reception and transfer to the hotel.
Day 8|SUN 17 APRIL – La Antigua – Guatemala Airport
Breakfast. Transfer to Guatemala City airport. End of our services.
