Day 1| Guatemala Airport – Guatemala
Reception at the airport in Guatemala, meeting with your Concierge, delivery of travel documents, pick up the vehicle and local phone to keep in touch. Lodging at Hotel Barceló.
Day 2| Guatemala – Lake Atitlán
Breakfast. Departure to the Guatemalan highlands, heading to Lake Atitlán, that according to Huxley is the most beautiful lake in the world. Arrival in Santa Catarina Palopó, one of the most visited villages on the lake, very famous for the colorful typical dress worn by the women and the beautiful textiles made here. Lodging at Hotel Villa Santa Catarina.
Day 3| Lake Atitlán
Breakfast. We will have these days to get to know the towns that surround the lake, among which we recommend San Juan, Santiago, San Pedro and San Marcos, all of which are indigenous towns that have their own charm, history and culture. Walk along the famous Calle Santander or venture into the trails and suspension bridges of the Atitlan Reserve. Lodging at Hotel Villa Santa Catarina.
Day 4| Lake Atitlan – La Antigua
Breakfast. We will continue our journey towards La Antigua, a colonial city that preserves all the charm of the 17th century, cobbled streets, wrought iron balconies, tile roofs and numerous baroque style buildings, declared “World Heritage” by UNESCO. Lodging at Hotel Villa Colonial.
Day 5| La Antigua
Breakfast. We will have the day to enjoy La Antigua, walking along the cobblestone streets appreciating their architectural styles to see their main monuments, visit the picturesque villages around Antigua or explore the Pacaya Volcano. Lodging at Hotel Villa Colonial.
Day 6| La Antigua – Quetzal Reserve
Breakfast. We will drive to the lush millenary forests of the verapaces, home of the emblematic Quetzal. We recommend visiting some of the reserves that are dedicated to the care, research and preservation of the habitat of this beautiful bird among other species. Lodging in Ram Tzul Inn.
Day 7| Quetzal Reserve – Candelaria
Breakfast. Departure to the Candelaria Caves an underground network of the most spectacular in the world and of great importance to the world of caving. In addition, they were used as a place of Mayan pilgrimage, an icon for this civilization. Lodging Candelaria Lodge.
Day 8| Candelaria – Petén
Breakfast. Departure to the Peten jungle, which is home to several species of flora and fauna, which are part of the Mayan Biosphere Reserve. Lodging at Villa Maya Hotel.
Day 9| Petén
Breakfast. Day to visit some of the archaeological vestiges of the area, among which we recommend Tikal National Park, the largest of the known Mayan cities. Lodging at Hotel Villa Maya.
Day 10| Peten – Rio Dulce
Breakfast. We will continue towards Rio Dulce, a place of incredible natural beauty in the middle of one of the few rainforest nature reserves with a great variety of fauna. We suggest a boat ride in Rio Dulce, a place of exceptional ecological richness. Lodging at Hotel Nana Juana.
Day 11| Rio Dulce – Guatemala
Breakfast. We will have the morning to rest and enjoy the nature of the hotel. Return to Guatemala City. On the way we recommend visiting the Quirigua archaeological site, which preserves some of the best stelae the Mayans ever built. Lodging at Hotel Barceló.
Day 12| Guatemala – Guatemala Airport
Breakfast. At the airport in Guatemala City, farewell to your Concierge, drop off the vehicle and local phone. End of our services.

Guatemala at your own pace. Our Fly & Drive bets on independence, having the time available is one of the values that we appreciate more and more on the trip. The selected areas to visit are: the colonial city of La Antigua, Lake Atitlan, center of the living Maya culture, the Caribbean region of Izabal, the Verapaces as the area of greatest biodiversity and land of the quetzal, and the jungle and archaeological region of Petén. Selection of hotels, rental car, local phone, plus the support and assistance at all time of a PTP Concierge.
