Day 1º. (TUE) Aeropuerto de San Salvador – San Salvador
Arrival to Guatemala City airport and transfer to your hotel in Salvador. Lodging.

Day 2º. (WED) San Salvador – Cerro Verde – Ataco
Breakfast. Departure to the colonial gem of Ataco. In route, we will visit the National Park of Cerro Verde, a sleeping volcano covered by a dense cloud forest of impressive beauty. During the visit we go through its crater and admire from various viewpoints the most impressive visits of the Izalco volcano, Ilamatepec Volcano and the cauldron-type volcano called Lago de Coatepeque. Day 3º. (THU) Ataco
Breakfast. In the morning, we will visit a coffee plantation to know the process of cultivation, harvesting and roasting. Rest of the afternoon free to visit the cobbled streets of Ataco and admire the colourful murals that adorn the walls of the houses of its inhabitants, a tradition that makes this colonial town unique and unrepeatable. We recommend you to visit the handicraft workshops to acquire a souvenir of these lands. Lodging.

Day 4º. (FRI) Ataco – Tazumal – Santa Ana – Joyas de Cerén – Suchitoto
Breakfast. Departure to the archeological site of Tazumal, the most important Mayan ceremonial center in El Salvador. We will continue to Santa Ana, the second most important city in the country. Day 5º. (SAT) Ataco – Suchitoto
Breakfast.  Today, we’ll have a walking tour along Suchitoto, visiting its beautiful cobbled streets, art galleries, craft houses, its Central Park and the church of Santa Lucia. Free afternoon for optional activities such as an indigo workshop or a boat trip along Suchitlán Lake. Lodging.

Day 6º. (SUN) Suchitoto – Copán
Breakfast. Early departure to the border with Honduras. During the day, we will cross the Honduran border to visit Copan, which keeps stelae, pyramids, ball games and unique burials in the Mayan world. Lodging.

Day 7º.  (MON) Copán – Guatemala City
Breakfast. Morning transfer to Guatemala City, one of the most modern cities in Central America. Lodging.

Day 8º.  (TUE) Guatemala City
Breakfast. We will have the day off to enjoy the hotel facilities or, as an optional activity, take a trip to Tikal, the jewel of the classic Mayan world, take a trip to the Pacaya volcano or a cultural visit to the city, visiting its central square, Ixchel Museum, Av. Reforma, etc. Lodging.

Day 9º. (WED) Guatemala – Iximché – Atitlán
Breakfast. Departure to the Guatemalan Highlands. In route, we will visit Iximché archaeological site, the old Mayan Capital of the Cakchiquel Kingdom. After the visit, we will continue to Lake Atitlán –once Aldous Huxley said “it is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world”. Lodging.

Day 10º. (THU) Atitlán – Chichicastenango – Atitlán
Breakfast. In the morning: transfer to village of Chichicastenango, where we will visit one of the most famous indigenous markets in all Latin America. That day, we will enjoy a living experience, where the travellers will have a corn workshop with local women. Corn is the most important staple food in Guatemala. Lodging.

Day 11º. (FRI) Atitlán – Santiago -La Antigua
Breakfast. Today we will take a boat to visit the village Tzutuhil of Santiago Atitlán. After the excursion, we will continue to La Antigua, arrival in mid-afternoon and orientation tour in this colonial city declared World Heritage Site: ride to the Cathedral, central plaza, main monuments and museums. Lodging.

Day 12º. (SAT) La Antigua – Guatemala Airport
Breakfast. Transfer to Guatemala City airport. End of our services.
